Age of Conan expansion due before July

Funcom says Rise of the Godslayer add-on for fantasy MMORPG will arrive during the first half of 2010; reports Q3 loss of $9.6M on revenue of $5.7M.

The launch of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures last year provided a healthy infusion of tibia money riches to Funcom’s coffers. However, the Norwegian developer has struggled to maintain interest in its dark fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game, atlantica online and that fact is evidenced in Funcom’s third-quarter earnings report.

Reporting on its July-September earnings period this week, Funcom said revenues came in at $5.69 million, down from the $18.1 million brought in during the same period in 2008. Having turned a $3.27 million profit during Q3 2008, Funcom reported a $9.63 million loss for the same three-month period in 2009.

Providing a look ahead to the remainder of its fiscal year, Funcom said that it expects fourth-quarter revenues to fall in line with its Q3 earnings. During its in-progress October-December period, Funcom expects revenues sro online gold to come in between $4 million and $5 million.

Still, the Norwegian developer has a number of ways to boost revenue in the coming year. Namely, Funcom said today that it expects to launch Age of Conan’s first expansion, the Asian-themed Rise of the Godslayer, during the first half of 2010. The company also said that in October, it had been awarded a $270,000 grant by the Norwegian Film Fund to prototype and develop “an Xtreme sports” MMOG.

Unfortunately, Funcom did not provide an update to the release window of its other upcoming MMORPG, The Secret World. In September, the developer said that it had pushed the game’s launch back by “some months.” The announcement came alongside word that the developer had enacted a 20 percent reduction to its workforce as part of its efforts to cut costs by moving development teams to low-cost locations, such as Montreal.

SWAGVAULT AION Super leveling Guide Chapter III

SWAGVAULT AION Super leveling Guide Chapter III

Analysis of Standardized Management of AION Legion

In ragnarok online zeny Aion, legion is an important community for PVP . Therefore, members pay much attention to the legion management. Furthermore, management is closely related to vital interests of each member and the overall development of legion.

Management mainly involves two parts: people and things.

People refer to members; things refer to various matters caused by members in game.

How to manage members?

It is not our silkroad online gold wish to see many talents actually are a heap of loose sand.

AION is a team game, so a reasonable rule can assist us to manage members.
I. The smallest team is a six-person group. Each group selects a group leader who is in charge of daily organization. The group leader belongs to bottom  management.
II. Team is beyond group. Team is the last unit in allocating abyss points and also is the most appropriate unit to show a team’s fighting strength. Each team selects a team leader who is in charge of training PVP capability. The team leader belongs to mid-level management.
III. Legion is beyond team. Legion is the ultimate unit developed by a group of like-minded players. Each legion selects a legion leader who is charge of legion development and fulfilling obligations and responsibilities. The legion leader belongs to Top management.

Those management candidates can be proposed by legion or those units can be self-organized.

Main legion should hold a good grasp of branch legion leader. They should determine the aion kinah development orientation of each legion, so as to assign the responsibilities to each legion in battlefield.

The legion leader should hold a good grasp of team leader. They should arrange main battle team (which is inclined to PVP) and colleague team (which is inclined to PVE). Different teams tend to develop in different directions and engage in different activities.
The team leader should hold a good grasp of group leader. A team leader’s competence directly affect fighting strength of the whole team. A team leader takes responsible for coordinating the four groups, guiding them to cooperate well and establishing good reputation together.

The group leader should hold a good grasp of group mate. Group is the first unit where each member grows up. The fighting strength and cooperation capability of team depends on that of group. Compared with other units, disputes occurs frequently in group. So the group leader should handle internal conflicts timely.

If the group leader is incapable of handling some conflicts within group, he/she should report to the team leader. As regards to team and legion, those can be deduced by analogy.

“Team” is more difficult to be understood by most players than “Group”. Most players may ask why take trouble to organize “Team” and they think “Group” is good enough to form a legion.

Then I will briefly explain it.

It is indeed that members can grow up well only in groups. Whether in battlefield unit or raid, a six-person group can do perfectly.

However, all members should fight in a team when the legion stays in a war. It is impossible for the battlefield commander to coordinate in groups. Because battlefield commander generally assign missions to teams or even directly to branch legions.

What’s more, a temporary team establishment can cause chaos. That battlefield commander temporarily designates a team leader can bad influence the command effect.

There is a reminder that, in PVP, a battlefield unit is based on team not group, whether in abyss fort battle or player killing/anti-killing. In light of distribution of abyss points, team is the last unit. Therefore, every players should be listed in a team. The number of abyss points obtained can be severely affected as long as an individual follows one team, which eventually make team members unsatisfied. We love to tail after Korean teams in AION (KR) and grab their abyss points. Because we can share 1/3 abyss points through killing one player while they the whole team can only obtain 2/3, which make Korean players extremely depressed.

With continuously rich experience in PVP, members will accept “Team” and even they will be accustomed to fight in PVP based on team. The key is the reasonable composition mode, not the number of team members. The cooperation capability of team members is next point. Some issues belong to internal matters such as routine way of player killing/anti-killing, secret places for resurrection stone, the fighting ability in fort battle, which can present the fighting strength of the whole team. The experience is accumulated through this way and cooperation capability is strengthened through this way. Temporary team cannot be compared with it.

Take Range of SPEED for example:
24-person main battle team comprises three groups, which owns eight players respectively. If they should fight separately, three groups will go for three different killing routes. Encountering anti-killing group, eight-person group easily fight against six-person group. On the hot spot, three groups will fight together as a team. Alternated between apart and together, enemy cannot seize our main force and cannot guess our movement direction.

How to manage matters?

The in-game matters caused by players mainly involve in two parts: personal interests and individual contributions.

I. Perfect rules can prevent and resolve this interest dispute.
II. Perfect DKP system can make reasonable assessment of individual contributions to the legion.

Rules depend on that what kind of interest disputes will happen; and DKP system depends on that the value of individual contributions and what kind of issues may cause unfair treatment.

I. Leveling up Spots
The intense resource competition firstly reflects in fighting for leveling up spots. Members should be courteous to each other in legion, while members also should try peaceful means before resorting to force with another legion.

How to show courtesy to own mates?
Firstly, first come, first served;
Secondly, inform your own mates before you leave the spot;
Thirdly, resurrect your own mates who are died without strings;
Fourthly, don’t grab mobs with your own mates at the border which are not clearly demarcated.

How to cope with another legion members?
Firstly, do not take the initiative to make trouble. If happens, the leader should be informed and then he/she will handle those. Players should control aggressive behaviors (Some players kill person taking advantage of mobs, which wastes time, and eventually both will sink together.) It is necessary to beat back, if some players repeatedly attack others by mobs. If they deliberately upgrade the conflict, they will pay for this.

II. The rules of hunting boss and distributing items

It is best to adopt the same attitude to grab world boss and leveling up spot. Whether a team or a legion, it is not worthy that own reputation is ruined only for some interests.

There is a reminder that boss will frequently brush the screen after golden equipment is off, which means that every player will easily know the best time to attack boss. So own groups may coincidentally wait for the same boss in advance. This is a hidden conflicts, which needs a reasonable distribution rule by legion management. If two different legion stare at one boss, then fighting strength decides all!

Distribution according to needs and golden equipment auction both have own advantages. It is desirable that each team choose the most suitable distribution rule for themselves, instead of stipulating all teams should adopt one rule.

Personally, the combination of both is reasonable.

If the group has need,
A. Below the level of blue equipment (including blue equipment), groups should adopt distribution according to needs.
B. At the level of golden equipment, groups will hand to leader and bid on the trade broke for all obtained golden items or hold a golden equipment auction in group.
Brief analysis: Golden equipment is valuable, so a fair share is reasonable. In the beginning, kina is very important to all members. It is impossible to chase after golden equipment when one has not enough kina. If most members’ economic strength can afford golden equipment auction, members will not have objections.

If the group has no need,
A. Below the level of green equipment, groups should roll items to every members.
B. Beyond the level of blue equipment (including blue equipment), groups should hold a auction on all obtained items.

The distribution rule for special items depends on members’ actual skills.

III. Gathering

In the middle and latter half period of AION, all the players will try to farm items in AION (KR).It’s very common that one player wait at a spot to farm. It is frequent that players fight for grabbing items (especially grabbing items using mobile/flying speed-up scroll). And hostile damage may occur. Actually this depends on personal quality.

As more and more players have reached the top level, the competition of gathering become more tense. It is should be advocated: Do not grab others’ gathering items and Share own gathering items with others.

IV. DKP System (similar to CP System in EVE)

DKP system and CP system both present the relation between individual contributions and corresponding reward. Perfect DKP System is the basis of the whole system and reasonable one can arouse members’ initiative.

A. In terms of items, various consumables, golden equipment, game card are members’ most concerned stuff.
B. In terms of game content, PVP activities such as abyss fort battle, player killing/anti-killing, can be listed in DKP system. Professional leads members to lurk in enemy so as to complete race antagonism, which can also be listed in this system.

Generally, the legion management already have rich experience in CP system in EVE.

I only find a few issues which may cause unfair treatment. For example, in abyss fort battle, those defending teams, which do not participate in attacking fort boss, cannot obtain Gold/Silver Medal. Legion should increase their points in DKP appropriately.

Fire Mage Leveling Guide 1v1 1-30

So, you decided to roll a mage and good for you! It’s a great class for atlantica cheap gold those of us that love high damage output while staying at a far distance from those dirty, smelly mobs we have to deal with – melee is so pedestrian

This guide is intended to provide a very basic guideline on how to;

a) Spend your talent points, and

b) Create a good cast rotation

for your “early years” – meaning level 1 through 30.

There are certain disclaimers/conditions to this guide:

- It was written today, while the game still is in beta, and

- It has a strong focus on fire-based talents,

- It assumes Ragnarok Zeny that PRIEST is the secondary class.

The reason it is heavily fire-focused is that it IS, at this time, the most efficient way to level your mage up to level 30 and for people that are new to the class/casual players it’s also less complicated than some of the Wind-based spells that require combinations or preconditions.

Always keep in mind that the BEST spells for you are the ones you like the most and feel most comfortable with. In the end that will mean more to you and for how much you enjoy the game. This guide is purely there to show a way to maximize your DPS (Damage Per Second) during these levels.

The reason that Priest is the ‘chosen’ secondary class is simple: It’s the one that I personally found to be the best compliment to my mage.

Gear

I am not going to cover stats or gear sets, etc here – just remember that as a mage you can equip:

Armor:

Robes/Cloth

Weapons:

Daggers, Wands Tibia Gold and 2H staffs (obviously also Talismans).

Talents

(For those of you who doesn’t want to read through the reasoning and verbal diarrhea below here is a summary of the talents we max out:

Flame,

Fireball (until level 18),

Lightning (until level 18),

Essence of Magic,

Wisdom (see note),

Fire Knowledge,

Purgatory Fire.

Level 1-5:

This is your easy mode time. You are doing single-target killings. All those shrooms and wolfies won’t know what hit them.

Max out: Flame and Fireball.

Spell rotation: Open up with the spell that has the longest cast time (it’s also often the spell that makes the most damage). A normal attack against mobs at this level would therefore be:

[Flame], [Fireball].

Hopefully by this time your target is dead. If not finish it off in any way you want (smash it with your weapon, throw another spell (a un-leveled wind-based instant cast may be enough to send it over the edge). Mix it up. Have fun. Just make sure it goes down before you do.

You will also at lvl 2 get a shield that you cast on yourself that will absorb a certain amount of damage (’Electrostatic Charge’).

While it may be very tempting to level this skill don’t do it. Focus on killing things before it gets to you. Even though a shield like this could be beneficial during AoE grinding you are going to have to sacrifice this with your choice to go high-damage with fire for now. Not to say you can’t use it to absorb a tiny amount of damage as you run for your life after having pulled that beefy lvl 8 bear..

Level 6-10:

Not that much different. Single targets. Burn ‘em down. Loot and move on.

You do however gain two very useful talent in this level bracket:

a) As of level 8 you have a way to buy yourself some more time when throwing that Flame spell – it’s called ‘Lightning’.

What it does is rooting your target in place allowing you some additional cast time before it reaches you.

The more talent point you put into this skill the longer it holds the target still. Also, this root is not broken by damage to the target. It’s really a wonderful skill.

b) You gain a wind-based talent named ‘Discharge’ at level 10.

If Lightning is your distance-single-target stun then consider Discharge to be your close-range-multi-target stun. It’s an instant-cast AoE spell that does limited dmg but stuns all mobs in range for five seconds.

Even though you are not putting any points into this talent keep it close on your toolbar and play around with it. You’ll be using it a lot soon.

ALSO, something exciting, at lvl 10 you pick your secondary class.

This guide makes the assumption that you chose Priest.

Max out: Flame, Fireball and Lightning.

Spell rotation:

[Flame], [Lightning], [Flame], [Fireball]

Note: One of the things you will notice is that your Lightning spell doesn’t last long enough for you to get off the second Flame before the root is broken. That’s why we keep leveling this skill and make it last longer and longer.

This spell rotation will eventually let you pull and kill mobs that are a few levels above yours with you barely getting damaged in the process,

Note: As mentioned above you now get to pick your secondary class. I’ve found Priests to be very complimentary to the Mage class but pick what YOU want.

Level 11-15:

You’re should now be used to and maybe even bored of single-target killing. Tough luck, you’re gonna be doing it for ten more levels,

At level 12 you receive a new talent named ‘Wisdom’. This is a skill that increases your intellect value as you level it. Intellect is the prime stat for a mage as it benefits the two most important values you have: your mana pool and your damage output.

The Wisdom talent is one of those debatable talents though and some mages max it out, some raises it when/if they got spare TPs – while some mages don’t bother with it at all. Personally I do max it out when I level to 30 if I know that I will re-spec at that point anyway. If I try to be as frugal as possible and save my lvl 30 respec (you get a free talent point reset at that level) for much later I put no points at all into this talent.

At level 15 you get your first elite skill. If you chose Priest you get a very useful skill named: Essence of Magic.

Essence of Magic is a skill that you will have to level using talent points (TPs) and is in essence a self-buff that increases your damage output.

You either apply this buff on yourself manually (make sure you set the interface to ’self cast’ if you have an enemy targeted. It’s an easy way to reapply buffs without having to F1-target yourself every time.

OR, download and install the rather wonderful addon nBuff . In this addon you list what buffs you like to use and it will always, automatically make sure you got them active on yourself. No need to ever again check them and re-apply them. Lazy? Yes. Convenient? Heck yes.

Max out: Flame, Fireball and Lightning, Essence of Magic and Wisdom (as per above).

Spell rotation:

The same as for lvl 6-10. Your Lightning skill will be able to root your target for longer and longer now.

Level 16-20:

You’re hopefully now Flaming, stunning, Flaming and Fireballing anything to death with no problem.

Some rather exciting talents are being added to your arsenal in this level bracket.

At level 16 you gain a +damage buff named Intensification.

This is a very nice +dmg buff (it increases the damage for your next spell and has a rather short cool-down. If you choose to play with it and even to include it in your spell rotation I recommend creating a macro for it. A very basic macro would look something like;

/cast Intensification

/wait 0.5

/cast Flame

Tie that, or hopefully a neater looking macro, to a key and aways use this on your pull – that way the damage from the spell you open with is always maxed.

I wouldn’t personally put any points into this skill now but as mentioned in the beginning your mage-journey is also to find the spells that you like and if you find that you enjoy this way of casting your lead-spell then knock yourself out

At level 18 you receive your first fire-based AoE (Area of Effect) spell: Phoenix.

As much as I love AoE skills I would still not recommend you putting any points into Phoenix yet. You’ll need them on your current and upcoming skills.

At level 20 you gain a counter-spell named ‘Silence’.

This is an instant-cast spell that silences your target for X seconds. It is a very powerful spell in PvP against other magic users but it is also useful in certain PvE situations when fighting mobs (and later bosses) that cast magic.

Early PvE examples of where you can use Silence are the casters in Northern Tangea and the Mature Tree Ents in Aslan Valley.

Once a PvE mob has been silenced its natural reaction is to run towards you to try to at least beat you up.

In these situations a useful spell sequence would be:

[Flame], [Silence], [Lightning], [Flame], [Fireball] <Dead>

Note that Silence is a ‘general’ talent so it can, just as for instance Fireball, be used by your secondary class as well. It is however at these levels a very situational and non-critical spell so we won’t be putting any points into it but do keep it on your action bar for situations as the ones mentioned above.

At level 20 you can get your second Elite skill. If you chose Priest that is Purify. It’s…well…uh….cough-cough-useless-cough-cough..but maybe..later…

Max Out: Flame, Fireball, Lightning, Wisdom (see notes above) and Essence of Magic.

Spell Rotation:

I hate to say it but…still the same. But at this time the Lightning spell will for the first time actually root your target long enough for your second Flame to hit it before it breaks. You can now more safely down bigger and badder mobs.

NOTE: I would advice you to stop putting talent points into both Fireball and Lightning once you have it at +18.

Trust me, you’ll be using those talent points in more important spells as we progress. Also, your Lightning skill should now be able to stun your target for about 4.5 seconds which will suffice for now.

Things to run: Wind Mill as of lvl 18.

Level 21-25:

Things are getting more and more exciting as you gain more and more dmg to your spells.

At level 22 you will gain a talent named ‘Fire Knowledge’ which is a passive talent that increases your fire-based damage output as you level it.

At level 25 you can get your third Elite skill. If you chose Priest this will be: Outburst which is a very nice +damage talent (that, however only effects Flame and Fireball).

Max Out: Flame, Wisdom (see above), Fire Knowledge, Essence of Magic.

Things to run: Windmill. You may also in the later levels in this bracket (24-25) start running Forsaken Abbey. Your utility will still be limited to single-target killing though.

Spell Rotation:

Cough-cough-the same-cough-cough

Level 26-30:

Almost there…

And, exciting stuff…at level 26 you gain what will be your best AoE-friend for some levels: Purgatory Fire and a new way of killing opens up to you…

Purgatory Fire is, as mentioned an AoE damage spell that is instant cast and deals fire damage to all targets within range.

You are now able to start doing some AoE damage in parties. But be careful. The last thing you want to do is to run up to the tank, spam Purg and have five mobs immediately start beating on you while the healer is focusing on the tank.

IF you chose to start playing with AoE in parties at this point (and do. It’s fun!) then do this;

- ASK the tank if he wants you to AoE the next group,

- If he says yes then make sure the healer puts a shield on you AND heals you,

- When you’re at the mobs cast ‘Discharge’ and spam your Purgatory Fire,

- Don’t Die.

Max Out: Flame, Wisdom, Fire Knowledge, Purgatory Fire and Essence of Magic.

Things to run: Wind Mill, Bloody Gallery and Forsaken Abbey

Spell Rotations:

1) Single-target-non magic user:

[Flame], [Lightning], [Flame], [Fireball], [Purg (as needed)]

2) Single-target magic user:

[Flame], [Silence], [Lightning], [Flame], [Fireball], [Purg (as needed)]

3) Multi-mobs:

[Discharge], [Purgatory Fire (repeat until nothing moves..)]

You made it all the way to the free talent respec (at level 30)

Now you can spec any gddamn way you want and even drop all those points in Fireball should you choose so.

Remember that at higher levels AoE and CC (Crowd control) becomes much more important so look at Purge, Phoenix, Thunderstorm and pick the road you want to travel down.

Hopefully this will at least give you an IDEA about what to do with your mage during those crucial, early years.

Additional:

Q) Hey, what do I do with the talents for my secondary, the priest?

A) Depends. If you actually play your priest as a priest then check out the Priest forum. If you are happy with the Priest just being there to assist your main – the mage – then always keep Regen maxed (your mage-half will love it), max out BoneChill for the few times when you may actually DO anything with him and make sure to keep enough TPs saved up to max out Tidal should you go down the road of using the later M/P elite skill where you can instant cast it as a mage.

Q) But Fireball is so useful on my other class ‘X’ as it’s a shared skill. Why don’t I max it?

A) Sure you can and it does benefit your secondary – but personally not to the point that I would want to put any points into it after about lvl 18 (zero after lvl 30) as it will gimp my other Mage abilities too much to not have those talent points available to me.

Q) WTF do U knowz n00b? U suck. AND I hear u likes Mudkipz!

A) [Flame],[Lightning],[Flame],[Purge][Purge]

Finally: This is by no means meant to be written in stone.

I welcome ALL comments and suggestions and will happily modify/update this guide to make it as good as we can.

IF you chose to start playing with AoE in parties at this point (and do. It’s fun!) then do this;

Lineage2 Blood Saber And Personal Advice

There are Lineage2 blood saber and personal advice, hope you like it.

1. The Blood Saber:
This weapon brought your right to level 20. You should go in with a group to SoDa to be on the safe side, but if you cheap kinah choose to go solo, there is a hallway on the right near the entrance that you can wait in for this one skeleton to emerge-this is best if you have a bow, because then you can just keep attacking the one skeleton. However, this might take a long while. You never got the eldritch dagger, but it will also rake in some extra adena for you if you want to either sell it, or keep it and save yourself from having to spend all your adena on some other dagger.

2. Some Personal Advice:
Generally, you try to stay out of places like SoDa-the dungeons; they’re good if you have a group, but when you try to solo, you get crowded out. There are also many anal CN farmers or other players that will give you a hard time and you end up getting buy isk distracted from your leveling.

Travel around if you find you’re not leveling fast enough, and see what best benefits your character. People will tell you to level somewhere, but you might actually be better off somewhere else-so it’s better to just go through trial and error.

Groups aren’t worth it until you’re level 20+, because you can get more experience soloing, but if you think that you can level faster with someone’s help, then knock yourself out. The benefit of groups is that if you die and drop something, they can pick it up for you-but just remember, that doesn’t mean they will necessarily give it back. There are also slight experience bonuses for parties.

Once you get tired of the dark elven village area, you could try the “neutral zone.” This is an area north of Gludio that has mobs such as spiders and crystalline guildwars gold beasts-they’re cluttered also around the Altar of Rites

Fire Temple Raid Guild Guide

When you have finished the quest, you are permitted to enter the Fire Temple
The introduction is going to introduce how to hunt the final boss in this Raid, and acquire the unique items. Other Boss is not the premier consideration.
  Team configuration:
If the players have stable team, aion kinah the recommended configuration here is unnecessary..
Generally speaking, the recommended configuration of a group is one chanter, one templar(If there is no templar, you may choose the gladiator as the second choice. But do remember, the gladiator may fail to attract the enmity of the monster, then the monster may kill the cleric and cause the death of all group member.),one assassin, one sorcerer, and dfo gold one optional class.(the optional class we strongly recommend sorcerer or assassin)
Warning: If there is a gladiator in your group, please forbidden him to use the ranging skill, or he may attack the sleeping monster and make it awake.
 Consumables preparation:
Instant HP potion , Instant Mana potion, Resurrection Stone
 Raid Strategy:
The group leader preferentially choose the templar as group leader due to his stigma skill-Stunning Snatcher. He will arrange the order how to hunt the monsters according to the general situation. He need to know how to use the group function to make a sybmol on the head of monster so as to show the hunt order. And other group members must do their job according to the responsibility of different classes.
In the Raid, we could arrange reasonable route to make the grind more efficiently as our purpose of grinding is to acquire the unique golden euqipment.Hence, we could eliminate the time spend on each raid-grinding.  Please remember that the aion PVE system has designed that all the players will see different radar range. What we need to pay special attention is that the mobs have different eyesight to the player with different level. The higher the player is ,the smaller the eyesight of mobs. You can see the mob’s eyesight from the radar when you click on the mob.So it’s important not to simply follow the member’s routing.
Also, the sorccer has to be aware of his duty during the battle. He is the key role to control the whole battle speed. It’s more important for sorccer to control the battle rather Silkroad gold than to DPS.Generally speaking, a sorccer above level 30 may control 2 mobs, using the skill “sleeping and cursed tree”.Hence, if the group have 2 soccer above level 30, they may control 4 mobs in total.Hence he may become important role to decrease the danger in battle.

Due to the heal ability the chanter has, his main duty is to protect the cleric during the battle and help the cleric to heal the member when the cleric is too busy. As the cleric may attract the enmity from the mobs when he cures the member, it’s very important for chanter to heal the cleric in the emergency. The chanter has very useful stigma skill- “word of protection ” “protective ward” to ensure the safety of group members when the battle is so fierce.
